MacCormaig Isles

Cruise out from Loch Sween and tour around these beautiful islands. Land on Eilean Mór and visit the bothy telling you about the island. Investigate the chapel and take in the history, then head back to the boat to continue exploring the other islands. The MacCormaig Islands lie in the entrance to Loch Sween within the powerful tides of the Sound of Jura. They form part of the Ulva, Danna and the McCormaig Isles. Islands include:
Eilean Mòr is owned by the SNH. The 9th century chapel on it is dedicated to St Cormac. Eilean Mòr is the largest of a group of islands in the Sound of Jura, at the mouth of Loch Sween. The islands contain a variety of different wildlife.
